Privacy policy
AEO Readiness Score is a free tool run by Damon Padron. This page explains what happens to what you give it today, and what we plan to change. Last updated October 5, 2026.
The short version
- We store the URL you audit and the report we generate, so the report link keeps working.
- Anyone with a report's link can open it. Links are hard to guess and aren't listed anywhere, but don't treat them as private.
- A copy of the audited page and a screenshot are kept for 30 days, then deleted.
- The page's text is sent to an AI model to grade the copy.
- Right now there are no accounts, we set no cookies and we don't store your IP address.
- We plan to add accounts, cookies and possibly advertising. We'll update this policy before any of that starts. What's planned.
What we collect when you run an audit
- The URL you submit (tracking parameters like
utm_*are removed first) and the report: the score, the evidence for each check and the recommended fixes. Reports are kept so shared links keep working. - A copy of the page's HTML, exactly as we fetched or rendered it, so a score can be checked against what it was computed from. If you paste page source instead of letting us fetch it, we keep that the same way.
- A screenshot of the top of the page as a desktop visitor sees it.
We only fetch the one page you ask for, plus the site's robots.txt and llms.txt. More about our crawler.
Who sees the page content
To grade whether the copy answers shoppers' questions, the page's product text is sent to an AI model, currently openai/gpt-6-luna through OpenRouter. We send page content only, not information about you. The provider processes it under its own API terms.
The app runs on Fly.io, which hosts the server and its storage.
IP addresses, cookies and analytics
- Your IP address is held in the server's memory for up to an hour to enforce rate limits (for example, 30 audits per hour). It isn't written to disk.
- We currently set no cookies and use no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
- We count anonymous events (a page was viewed, an audit finished, a checklist was copied) to see whether the tool is useful. These counts contain no IP address, browser details, report id or URL.
Planned changes: accounts, cookies and advertising
We expect to add the following. None of them is live yet:
- Accounts, for example to save reports and track a page over time. An account would store details such as your email address and the reports linked to it.
- Cookies and similar technologies, to keep you signed in, remember preferences and measure how the tool is used.
- Advertising, which may involve third-party ad providers that use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads.
Before any of these goes live we'll update this policy to say exactly what is collected, why and who it's shared with. Where the law requires it, we'll ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies or using your data for advertising.
How long we keep things
- Page copies and screenshots: deleted automatically after 30 days.
- Cached AI grading results: deleted after 30 days.
- Reports and audited URLs: kept so links keep working, until you ask us to delete them.
- Anonymous usage counts: kept.
Deleting a report or opting out
Email padrondamon@gmail.com with the report link and we'll delete it. If you run a site and don't want it audited, see how to block our crawler.
Children
The tool is meant for people who run or work on online stores and isn't directed at children.
Changes
When what we collect, how we use it or who we share it with changes, including the planned changes above, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
